Fabrication Operator/Machine Operator
Wage: $16.50/HR
Hours: 1st shift
The fabrication operator is responsible for setting up and operating complex fabricated parts on all standard company fabrication equipment. This position works directly with the fabrication lead and Supervisor to maintain proper equipment set-ups, PM schedules, and employee training.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes and HMI systems
- Read blueprints and program machines to job specifications
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain accurate material and WIP records, process per work orders
- Assist with training, maintenance tasks, and ensure tooling is in good condition
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred
- Skilled in machine set-up, blueprint reading, and tooling selection
- Proficient with operating measuring tools to ensure exact specifications are met
- Forklift certified is a plus and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
