Position Summary
A local Dyersville employer is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to support environmental health and safety (EHS) initiatives, waste management processes, and overall facility cleanliness within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform industrial cleaning, janitorial, and general housekeeping duties throughout the facility
- Handle and properly dispose of scrap materials, recycling, and hazardous/non-hazardous waste
- Support compliance with EHS policies and OSHA regulations
- Maintain and uphold 5S workplace organization standards
- Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Monitor the facility for leaks, spills, and potential safety hazards
- Assist with spill response procedures and waste containment
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-focused work ethic
- Forklift or equipment operation experience is a plus
- Willingness to perform hands-on, labor-intensive tasks, including dirty or physically demanding work
