Overview:
A leading manufacturer in Salina, Kansas is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their plant leadership team. This role is essential in maintaining financial controls, analyzing plant performance, and supporting key decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support financial operations including purchasing, production, shipping, and inventory control
- Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts of operating expenses and capital expenditures
- Process journal entries and support month-end close
- Maintain and improve financial controls and ensure policy compliance
- Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and fixed asset tracking
- Partner with capital project managers to prepare, monitor, and close capital expenditure requests
- Analyze cost reduction initiatives and provide insights to plant leadership
- Monitor plant spending and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Use financial tools (Coupa, Hyperion) to track and manage overhead expenses
- Ensure accurate document retention and accounting processes
- Support payroll and other financial functions as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in a finance/accounting role, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong technical understanding of finance, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- ERP experience preferred (JDE, Hyperion a plus)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to present financial data to non-financial audiences
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
