Essential Job Functions:
- Perform MIG welding on steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measuring instruments.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment for different materials and thicknesses.
- Grind, fit, and prepare parts before and after welding.
- Inspect completed welds for quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, plasma cutters, and press brakes when needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep work areas clean and assist with routine equipment maintenance.
- Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production and quality goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous MIG welding or fabrication experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
- Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical work.
- Reliable attendance and teamwork skills.
