Cheese Quality Inspector
Wage: $19.96/hr
Schedule: 1st shift, 7am-5pm Mon-Thurs
Location: Luana IA
Description: The Cheese Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting cheese products to ensure they meet Prairie Farms’ quality, safety, and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect cheese for appearance, texture, color, and overall quality.
- Check packaging, labels, dates, and seals for accuracy.
- Identify and report damaged or defective products.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, and quality-control procedures.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate production records.
- Monitor products throughout the production process.
- Communicate quality issues to supervisors and production staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
- Ability to identify product quality issues.
- Reliable, organized, and dependable.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive inspection tasks for extended periods.
- Previous food production or quality-control experience is preferred but not required.
